THIS IS ME
This is me. Amy. I am a Musician, Composer and Actor. Also a cat lover and great at organising. I can probably beat you in a game of Guitar Hero and my favourite superhero is Spiderman.
ABOUT
Music

I started composing pieces of music when I was 12 on an old Casio keyboard given to me by a friend. I mostly went by ear and only had the obligatory once a week music lessons provided by the school. I started playing the guitar when I was 14 after begging my dad to let me have one. It was only after I learnt 10 songs on the old keyboard that I got a Squier Strat for Christmas. After some lessons, I learnt a lot more and became hugely engrossed in Rock music.

Since then, I have continued to pursue other instruments, learnt music theory and composed for a wide range of musical styles. Rock music is my first and foremost love, but I do appreciate many other styles. I continue to compose using a wide range of technology and instrumentation, and use film music as my inspiration for orchestral compositions. I started my band Morgana in 2020 which showcases my guitar, vocal and compositional skills

Acting
​
Acting has been a love of mine from a later stage but always enjoyed delving into a different character on stage. I have been fortunate to play a wide variety of roles, however, the 'strong female character' has been a particular strength of mine. Casting my mind back to years ago, when I watched the film 'Holes', I always appreciated how Sigourney Weaver played the Warden. I enjoy acting as it allows me to work creatively with different people from all fields, to make a project come together and entertain. Please go to my Acting page for my Backstage profile.

Teaching

I teach music theory and the guitar mostly but also have been known to widen my horizons and teach other instruments - sometimes even drama! If you are looking for music lessons, then please head over to the music lessons part of the website.
