MUSIC LESSONS

Guitar Lessons

I have been teaching guitar on and off now for a number of years which started out as just teaching my friends. I have recently branched out to teaching wider age groups. Since the 2020 Covid lockdown, I have moved my lessons to being online only. I teach a wide curriculum and aim to make my lessons appealing to the individual learner. I also teach music theory alongside this, so students can also learn how to compose their own songs and riffs.

I often go to students in their own setting which makes them feel more at ease. I have a full, clear DBS disclosure and several years teaching experience

==UPDATE==

Latest advice from government (as taken from the Musician's Union) says:

The latest guidance for out-of-school settings (covering music tuition) states that from 12 April, face-to-face activities can be offered to all children without restriction on the reasons for which they may attend. Teachers should ensure that their studios and activities are risked-assessed and Covid-secure, and they should follow the Government’s guidance on working in other people’s homes where necessary.

Where provision includes indoor musical groups, the out-of-school settings guidance states that providers should keep children in small groups of no more than 15 and at least one staff member. Groups of any size are permitted outdoors. If possible, all groups should consist of the same children each time they attend. Public performances are not yet permitted.

I will still only offer online lessons for the foreseeable time. However this is because I attend more than one student setting at a time and do not wish to pose a risk to anyone at this current time.
